FAQ

  • All sessions are online via telehealth.

While I am based in San Francisco, I offer virtual sessions to clients throughout California.

  • I specialize in gender and sexuality, and in providing therapy to queer individuals and couples. I have specific training in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, have conducted research on sexual identity, and have taught and provided supervision to doctoral students in this area.

Providing a culturally competent, identity-affirming space that recognizes the unique dynamics and stressors faced by the LGBTQIA+ community is a priority to me.

  • While a portion of my practice is dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, I work with individuals and couples of all identities.

My approach is rooted in identity-affirming care and a deep understanding of how systemic stressors and expectations about gender and sexual identity impact mental health: expertise that benefits all of my clients, regardless of how they identify.

  • Yes. A significant portion of my practice involves working with couples and constellations navigating various forms of non-monogamy—from open relationships and 'monogamish' structures to polyamory and ethical non-monogamy (ENM).

  • I am not in-network with any insurance companies.

Many insurance plans will reimburse 30-80% of out-of-network therapy fees. I provide superbills (detailed statements) that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement if it’s covered. Please contact your insurer to find out if you have out-of-network coverage for online therapy in California (typically PPO plans).

  • My full fee is $275 for individuals and $300 for couples. I also maintain sliding-scale spots to keep my practice accessible: please reach out or schedule a consultation to discuss your needs and my current availability.

Many of my clients use out-of-network insurance benefits, which often cover 30-80% of the cost.

  • The consultation call is a chance for us to find out if we might be a good fit. I will ask you some questions about what brings you into therapy, and tell you a bit about myself and how I practice. The free consultation usually takes 15-20 minutes.
